A Culinary Journey Curated Through Design
AnnYatra is conceived as a contemporary sanctuary for authentic Pan Indian vegetarian cuisine where food, space, and storytelling coexist in quiet harmony. The design vision was to create an English influenced luxury environment that honours India’s regional culinary heritage without theatrical excess or visual noise.
KRT Design Studio : Design approached
AnnYatra not as an interior project, but as a cultural narrative. Each region represented on the menu; Delhi and Lucknow from the North, Tamil Nadu from the South, Mumbai from the West, and the architectural legacy of Jaipur from the North-West was studied in depth. Rather than literal motifs, these influences were interpreted through British colonial engraving aesthetics, allowing diverse regional identities to coexist within a single, dignified visual language.
The engraving style illustrated wall panels form the soul of the space, echoing archival engravings of monuments, landscapes, and architectural memory. This illustration language extends seamlessly into custom printed chair upholstery, bespoke crockery, and tableware ensuring every surface carries the same visual rhythm and restraint.
Beyond the dining experience, KRT Design Studio curated a ceremonial press kit gifting system for AnnYatra’s elite guests, translating the restaurant’s philosophy into tactile keepsakes. From concept research to final execution, every element was crafted with human sensitivity, material honesty, and patience intentionally resisting the synthetic, automated aesthetic of contemporary design.
